With operations in ten countries and 20 cities worldwide and assets of over US$61 million, private equity firm MFT Group is on track to become a true force in the Philippines and APAC’s business landscape.

In addition to financial services, real estate and healthcare, MFT’s portfolio of companies also includes several food and beverage businesses. The group operates casual dining restaurants Mimi & Bros in the Philippines, La Lola Churreria in Singapore, and SaladStop! restaurants in Vietnam – part of the largest healthy food chain in Asia. Additionally, MFT’s subsidiary Waterwoods Group Corporation produces ready-to-eat products for several leading retail and convenience chains in the Philippines, such as FamilyMart.

When Lever’s corporate engagement team saw the opportunity to work with MFT Group to phase out caged eggs from its food-related brands, they immediately seized the opportunity and got in touch with the company. Lever’s work led to a commitment from MFT Group to use only cage-free eggs in their food operations by 2025.

With this commitment, MFT Group is setting an example for other industry leaders to follow while Lever continues to work with leading companies in the Philippines to end the use of cruel and unsafe caged eggs.
