If you live in or have visited Asia, chances are you’ve sat in one of Minor Food Groups’ 2,229 restaurants. The group is one of the largest casual-dining and quick-service restaurant companies, with 44 brands in 27 countries worldwide.
The Thailand-based company operates own-brand restaurant chains, including The Coffee Club, The Pizza Company, Basil, and Riverside Grilled Fish. It is also a licensee of global QSR brands, including Swensen’s, Sizzler, Dairy Queen, Burger King, and Benihana.
Minor Food’s largest markets are Thailand, China, and Australia, while it also operates restaurants across Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, and Indonesia, as well as numerous locations in the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
In 2021, Lever hit a home run by working with Minor Food Group to use only cage-free eggs and egg ingredients in its restaurants globally. The Lever team supported the group’s pledge to source 100% of their eggs from cage-free sources by the end of 2027 by providing detailed directories of cage-free suppliers for the Minor Food Groups’ international markets.
With eggs being a staple ingredient in many of Minor Food Groups’ products, egg-laying hens across 44 countries will enjoy better living conditions as a direct result of Lever’s work. Beyond just their title as the largest casual and quick dining group, Minor Food Group is now the largest Asia-based restaurant group to commit to improving animal welfare across their supply chain and strengthening customer food safety worldwide.
